that if your buying a part for your car that you plan to install, its your own responsibility to make sure it will in fact fit, regardless of the vendor but if you asked him if the parts would fit and he gave you false information, that's an issue you have with him personally, and you have to question who is working on your car. sounds like a shady move on their part, but you also need to assume some buyers responsibility and realize you didn't do your homework buying a part. the problem would have been avoided if either one of you had been certain and not assumed. but i agree that is no way to treat a customer, live and learn.
